Notes:

The kayaking stage of the race is a great 11km long in beautiful Ladysmith Harbor. The paddle is in fairly sheltered water, but if the weather picks up and if the currents are flowing the wrong way, this could be a very long paddle for some -- especially those that have been neglecting this discipline in their training routine. 4 kayaks have been reserved.

The orienteering stage has been replaced with a greater reliance on self navigation throughout the entire course. The entire course will have minimal course markings and you must navigate your way from one checkpoint to the next using a very detailed and accurate map.
